U21 Assistant Coach
Al Jazira Club is looking for an experienced, passionate Assistant Coach to support and work closely with the U21 Head Coach / Assistant Technical Director in the Academy. Operating within a high-performance environment, the U21 Assistant Coach will play a pivotal role in developing players through the Professional Development Phase (PDP) and facilitating a seamless transition for athletes progressing into the Club's squad. Start date: as soon as possible. This role is about more than football — it is about shaping young people, building resilience, and delivering on the club's vision.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver U21 training sessions
- Create a positive, high-performance learning environment
- Use data to inform decisions and player insights
- Engage with parents and support staff
- Help identify and recruit future talent
- Support the U21 Head Coach when leading home and away games
- Deliver an elite level of coaching within the club's coaching philosophy and methodology framework
- Support in managing the transition of players within the Professional Development Phase
- Help prepare, deliver and record players' individual learning plans and weekly reviews
- Adopt a multi-disciplinary approach working closely with Academy departments
- Help ensure all safeguarding policies, practices and procedures are implemented
Requirements
- UEFA coaching qualification (UEFA A Licence)
- 5 to 10 years in elite youth sport
- Proven coaching experience in a Professional Academy at PDP level
- Deep understanding of youth football needs
- Safeguarding certification (DBS or equivalent)
- Advanced Youth Award
- Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) Certificate
- Competent IT skills

- Knowledge and experience of Middle Eastern culture
- English and Arabic speaking
