A landmark moment for Kenyan #SportsTourism!
The Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports' announcement of the 2026 CAC Africa Cycling Championship, set for 21st–25th October 2026 in Kisumu, signals another major opportunity to position Kenya as a leading destination for international sporting events.
With over 340 cyclists expected from more than 30 African nations, this championship is more than a race. It is a powerful platform to showcase Kisumu's tourism potential, attract visitors, stimulate local enterprise and create opportunities across hospitality, transport, events and the wider tourism value chain.
At Sports Tourism Limited, we believe in the power of sport to drive tourism, create jobs and unlock economic opportunities for host destinations.
As Africa's cycling stars converge on the beautiful shores of Lake Victoria, let us rally behind this continental spectacle and turn every race, every visit and every experience into an opportunity for Kisumu and Kenya.
Kisumu is ready. Kenya is ready. Africa, let's ride!
